Tempus Grove was a university group project of which I took on the role as creative lead. This project cumulated in the form of a presentation which included interactivity for an immersive experience to convey our ideas.
THE VISION

It was vital to establish a vision and core set of ideals for the project, especially with its collaborative nature.
Tempus Grove is themed around the concept of time travel, in which guests can discover a mix of historical fact and fiction.
MOOD BOARDS




An expansive set of mood boards were constructed to convey a distinct visual style and themes for each area. These formed as part of a 24-page theme book for the project.
Three 'realms' were conceptualised for the park - PORT MYHTOS, SKIRMISH HOLLOW and GLOOM TOWN; all bound by the parks hub - the GARDENS OF TIME.
PARK ENTRANCE CONCEPT

Guests enter as VOYAGERS thru the TIME TUNNEL; its entrance a colossal structure of aged brickwork and large chimney funnels - billowing steam and pulsing with light from neon coils in surround.
THE TIME MACHINE

THE TIME MACHINE, the main focal point and landmark of the park – a whimsical, whirring contraption which allows all the surrounding lands to co-exist. Clocks from all eras embellish the machine – all ticking away eagerly. Strange vats of liquid bubble and smoke as steam courses through a system of pipes and valves – every action causing a percussive sound reaction from within.
ATTRACTION LOGOS




Creating an array of logos with varying graphical styles; constructing distinct brands for the parks 4 main attractions.
ENTERTAINMENT


Looking at how entertainment can contribute to the visitors experience, especially within the boundless possibilities of the halloween event landscape. It was great fun to look at how each area could be integrated into the parks scare event - INVASION!
ADAPTIVE SOUNDSCAPE

This concept looked at how naturally occurring weather - usually a detriment to the guest experience could actually be harnessed to heighten the park's ambience.
Harnessing the power of audio soundscapes to offer a sort of pathetic fallacy, enhancing the parks surroundings in an adaptive system to the weather.
PARTNER BRANDING CONCEPT

As part of the project, I looked at logistics of brand partnerships. This concept shows how a brand such as Coca-Cola could be utilised within a themed environment, adapting the logo slightly for each area yet still retaining its iconography.
